Handmade Joinery
I enjoy experimenting with new types of joinery whenever I can. Handmade joinery distinguishes a piece from the factory made products out there and gives a piece character.
Pattern and Texture
With a background in classic fine art I often find myself wanting to bring life to a piece with texture and patterning. This is achieved with wood-burning, rotary engraving, and inlays.
Unique Form
Wood arrives as straight stock, but I don't let that affect the design. In fact I love the challenge of turning that flat straight board into something wildly different.
